New Products Added to rhipe CSP Pricelist
We are in the last lap of FY18 and Microsoft has added a number of CSP SKUs into the CSP Pricelist, mainly Dynamics 365 Business Central and marketing SKUs for government and NFP customers.

The commercial SKUs of Dynamics 365 Business Central will also be shown in the rhipe PRISM portal starting this month. And just a reminder- Dynamics 365 Business Central will be available in ANZ starting July 2018.
Dynamics 365 for Sales Enterprise SMB promo offer – extension until June 30, 2018
Microsoft has made Dynamics 365 SMB promo available for the month of June again!
Microsoft is bringing back the discounted price for Dynamics 365 for Sales Enterprise until June 30, 2018. The 60% discount for Dynamics 365 for Sales Enterprise is available for the first 25 seats only, until June 30, 2018, through rhipe CSP program.
Seat Maximum: The offer is only available for the first 25 seats per new customer tenant on CSP. Customers who exceed 25 seats, such as needing 30 seats of Sales, may use the promotion for the first 25 seats and purchase the additional 5 seats at the standard price.
Offer Duration: New customers who purchase Dynamics 365 for Sales Enterprise, using this promotion, will need to renew their annual subscription at the standard Dynamics 365 for Sales pricing available at the time of the renewal. The promotion rate will apply for the term of the customer’s subscription.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Marketing Promotion
The Microsoft Dynamics team has launched a promotion for Dynamics 365 marketing (Additional Contacts – 5K contacts) until Sept 30th, 2018 through the Cloud Solutions Provider Program only.
The following are the details of the promotion:
Availability: Dynamics 365 for Marketing (Additional Contacts - 5K contacts) promotional price is available May 1st until Sept 30, 2018
Offer Duration: The promotional rate will apply for the 1-year subscription term in CSP.
- Promotion applies to Dynamics 365 for Marketing customers who have requirements in addition to the entitlement of 10K contacts included in the base package
- Available for Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) Program partners only
- The promotional price is not applicable for:
- Dynamics 365 for Marketing SKU
- Dynamics 365 for Marketing Plan Attach SKU, or
- Dynamics 365 for Marketing Application Attach SKU
Margin Adjustment for Audio Conferencing
Skype for Business Audio conferencing is a zero margin SKU under CSP, which has been the case for partner, commercial, government or education customers.
However, when Microsoft added the audio conferencing SKU under CSP in April, they gave 5% margin to partner for the NFP Audio conferencing SKU. They are correcting the margin for the SKU and the margin for the SKU has been revised to 0%.

New Microsoft Mechanics Video on Microsoft Teams

QMTH Clarification: Windows 10 via CSP on “dedicated” third party hosted equipment
Microsoft launched Windows 10 Enterprise E3 launched in the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) channel on September 1, 2016, and then announced that Windows 10 E3 (non-local version), Windows 10 E5 and Microsoft 365 E3/E5 comes with VDA right on Azure or on QMTH hosted hardware.
It was mentioned on the QMTH website that:
Multitenant Hosting Rights for Windows 10
Customers who buy Windows Per User licenses through Microsoft Volume Licensing will need to engage with an Authorized QMTH Partner to make use of their multitenant hosting rights for Windows 10 to host their Windows virtual machines on third-party multitenant hardware.
In addition, a customer who buys qualifying Windows 10 subscriptions with virtualization use rights via Microsoft Cloud Agreement subscription will need to engage with an Authorized QMTH Partner to make use of their multitenant hosting rights for Windows 10.
Customers do not need to engage an Authorized QMTH Partner for the following scenarios for qualifying Windows 10 products:
- Microsoft Azure environment
- Customers with on-premise dedicated use rights
However, it was not very clear about the right of hosting Windows virtual machines on third-party dedicated hardware for their customers on QMTH website or Windows 10 Enterprise documentation. Microsoft has confirmed that Windows 10 Enterprise bought through CSP DOES NOT give the customer right to use the license on:
- Customer-owned on-premise dedicated equipment
- Partner-hosted dedicated equipment
These are software assurance benefits and are only available to customers who purchased Windows 10 Enterprise licenses with software assurance.

Azure Reserved Instance Now Available through CSP
Azure Reserved VM Instances (“Azure RIs”) is now available through CSP. Azure Reserved VM Instances (“Azure RIs”) allow customers to reserve virtual machines in advance and enjoy significant cost savings.
RIs also provide customers with three critical value:
- Adds including price predictability
- Prioritized compute capacity, and
- Flexibility to exchange or cancel reservations should customer needs change.
Azure RIs were announced in the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program on May 10th and will be available through rhipe CSP soon.

Also, Software Subscriptions such as Windows Server Standard Core in 8-packs, 1 or 3 years, upfront payment will be available through CSP too. The software subscriptions can be used for VM in Azure OR On-premise, particularly when your customers do not have Azure Hybrid Use Benefit

Changes to CSP Direct Requirements
Microsoft has made changes to CSP direct requirements. In order to become CSP direct partner, which is a mandatory requirement for QMTH (Qualified Multitenant Hosting), the partner now needs to fulfill the following 3 criteria:
- Ongoing partner performance, based on revenue and growth that are periodically assessed (No sharing of specific threshold from Microsoft, and subject to changes)
- Partners need to provide value-added services and support
- Partner to have at least one managed service, IP service, customer solution, or application
- Minimum infrastructure capabilities, including billing, credit check, customer support
- Partner to provide support to their end customers
- Partners to purchase a premium Microsoft support, either Microsoft Advanced Support for Partners(ASfP) (Min $15k USD annually) or Microsoft Premier Support for Partners(PSfP)
The New Direct CSP requirements will go live on August 31, 2018.
