Update from Microsoft
Given the difficult economic situation and current health crisis, we are no longer moving forward with this price increase. The commercial estimated retail price (ERP) for Microsoft 365 E5 Compliance will remain US$10 per user, per month. Microsoft 365 A5 Compliance prices for Education customers also will not change. The April Volume Licensing pricelists will not reflect the corrected price; however, orders placed will receive the correct price. This will be fixed in May pricelists.
The other repackaging updates that were planned – such as adding new products and value to Microsoft 365 E5/A5 Compliance add-on, and providing more choice with new Microsoft 365 E5 “mini suite” add-ons – will continue to launch on April 1.
How will this impact my customers and my business?
You will pay the same price that was established at the start and throughout the subscription term for a 12-month subscription.
Prevailing pricing is used at the time each subscription is established. When an existing subscription is renewed at the end of the initial 12 months, you and your customers will pay the prevailing price for the following 12 months.
In summary, your customers will only be affected at the end of the 1st 12-month subscription term.
How do I know when my customer’s subscription ends?
You can find the subscription end date in PRISM Portal under your customer’s subscription.
What do I need to do if a product SKU is retired?
If your customer is on a subscription of a retired SKU:
- Your customer can use the retired SKU until the end of the 12-month initial subscription term.
- Your customer can continue to add to or remove the user from the subscription.
- Once the 12-month initial subscription term is up, you need to help your customer replace the subscription of the retired SKU with a SKU available under Microsoft CSP.
